Weekly Recap: Regulatory Wins, Market Doldrums

It was a week of red in crypto and traditional markets, with bitcoin plummeting below $80K on March 10 and ETH falling to $1,821 the same day. So much for the “Trump Bump.” With the new administration on a tariff-tear this week, the markets were spooked about a recession and crypto was not immune. Still, progress in digital assets was all around, and our reporters reported it all with alacrity. BlackRock’s bellwether BUIDL fund topped $1 billion and tokenized treasuries hit $4.2 billion , Kris Sandor reported. MoonPay, a payments aggregator, made an important stablecoin acquisition , Will Canny wrote. Ripple won a payments license in the UAE (Shaurya Malwa). OKX won a license to operate in Europe , Camomile Shumba reported. Coinbase announced plans to offer 24/7 futures trading in the U.S ., Helene Braun reported. There was also big regulatory news. The U.S. House voted to overturn the IRS’s controversial “broker rule” in a big win for DeFi operators . And a Senate committee voted to send the GENIUS stablecoin bill to the floor, ahead of probable approval there. The Trump Family continued to be front-and-center in the crypto news. World Liberty Financial completed a $590 million token sale (for accredited investors for now), with an assist from adviser/investor and TRON founder Justin Sun. The Wall Street Journal reported that a Trump family representative also explored buying a stake in Binance.US, through World Liberty Financial . From our Asia team, Sam Reynolds examined how the latest draft of the GENIUS act aims to split stablecoin regulation between state and federal authorities. Parikshit Mishra reported on Coinbase returning to India after a two-year hiatus, setting off discussion about the future of crypto in India. Shaurya Malwa continued his excellent reporting on XRP, pushing out multiple reports on Ripple. Malwa also reported on the implications of over-leveraging in the crypto market, as Hyperliquid lost $4 million due to a massive leveraged trade in ETH. Market maven, Omkar Godbole, pushed out a timely piece on bitcoin`s bullish signal ahead of the U.S. CPI report, and was also early to spot how Eric Trump`s tweet on crypto were setting up short-term traders for disappointment. Meanwhile, Tom Carreras had an excellent feature on how Bitdeer, a Singapore-based miner, hopes to shake up the mining machine market. Hopefully next week brings better news in the markets. But, either way, our reporters will be there to cover what matters. CoinOtag

Best Cryptos for the Future: Qubetics Surpasses $15M Raised as Near Protocol & Kaspa Eye Bullish Moves–What’s Next?
Ever felt that sting of regret watching a crypto you ignored skyrocket in value? If you missed out on Ethereum in its early days or skipped over Solana before its massive run, you know how painful it can be. The market is once again flashing major signals, and a handful of coins are emerging as the best cryptos for the future —but will you pay attention this time? With fresh momentum in Web3 innovation and blockchain adoption, some projects are standing out from the crowd. Qubetics ($TICS), Near Protocol (NEAR), and Kaspa (KAS) are making waves in 2025 with groundbreaking tech, explosive presale numbers, and bullish market activity. Let’s dive into why these are the top cryptos you need to have on your radar this year. Qubetics: The Future of Cross-Border Transactions & Multi-Chain Connectivity The biggest problem with crypto today? True interoperability is still lacking. Qubetics is stepping in to fix that with its multi-chain ecosystem, allowing seamless transactions across different blockchains. Whether you’re an enterprise handling cross-border payments, a trader managing assets across chains, or a developer building dApps, Qubetics’ framework makes it effortless to move value globally. Think about it—imagine sending stablecoins from Ethereum to Solana, swapping assets on Polygon, and withdrawing to Binance Smart Chain, all without needing multiple wallets or bridges. That’s exactly what Qubetics enables. Its non-custodial multi-chain wallet ensures users maintain full control over their assets while enjoying ultra-fast, low-cost transfers. This kind of interoperability isn’t just a luxury—it’s a necessity for the future of Web3. And with major corporations and financial institutions exploring blockchain-based transactions, Qubetics could become the go-to platform for real-world cross-border payments. Qubetics Presale: The Numbers Are Getting Wild Early buyers are pouring in. As of March 14, 2025, Qubetics has: Raised over $15 million in its ongoing presale Sold more than 499 million $TICS tokens Attracted over 23,000 token holders And here’s the kicker—Qubetics’ crypto presale operates in 7-day cycles, with each new stage bringing a 10% price increase. Currently, $TICS is priced at $0.1074, but this won’t last long. If you were to buy $1,000 worth of Qubetics at today’s price, here’s how your potential returns could look: At $0.25 (presale end): $2,326 (+132.66% ROI) At $1 (post-presale): $8,306 (+830.65% ROI) At $5: $45,532 (+4,553.26% ROI) At $10: $92,065 (+9,206.51% ROI) At $15: $138,597 (+13,859.77% ROI) Numbers don’t lie. With the Qubetics mainnet set to launch in Q2 2025, demand is likely to surge. If you’re looking for the best cryptos for the future, this is a golden opportunity. Near Protocol: The Layer-1 Powerhouse Scaling Up Near Protocol is making some serious moves in 2025, with its decentralized app ecosystem expanding rapidly. The blockchain has been focusing on high-speed transactions and low fees, making it an attractive alternative to Ethereum. Recently, Near’s price prediction has been flashing bullish signals, with analysts eyeing a breakout soon. The network’s transaction volume has surged, and its ability to handle large-scale applications is drawing in more developers. With the continued rise of DeFi, NFTs, and gaming, Near is positioning itself as one of the best cryptos for the future. Kaspa: A Sleeper Altcoin Ready to Surge? Kaspa (KAS) is stabilizing after a recent price dip, and traders are eyeing a potential breakout. The project, which focuses on high-speed blockchain transactions, has been gaining traction among miners and developers. Unlike traditional blockchains, Kaspa utilizes a structure, allowing for parallel transaction processing—something that could be a game-changer for scalability. As Layer-1 solutions struggle with congestion, Kaspa’s approach could be the key to unlocking true blockchain efficiency. With price action indicating a strong support level, market participants are watching closely for the next big move. If it follows historical trends, KAS could be gearing up for a strong rally. Conclusion: Which Crypto Will Lead the Next Bull Run? The crypto market never sleeps, and the opportunities are always evolving. Near Protocol is strengthening its position as a top Layer-1 solution, and Kaspa is making a name for itself with its unique scalability approach.
